About

After a significant and impactful journey as a Photography Instructor and Chair of the School of Media at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, followed by a stretch as a Professional Brewer, Anderson English returns to the visual narratives of the human experience, the environments, and the intersections where they may meet. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he has produced image content for general/regional interest publications, non-profit organizations, small businesses, and regional/national newspapers.

Images from self-generated projects have been presented regionally, nationally and are included in private collections. Awards include The Greater Pittsburgh Artist Opportunity Grant from ProArts – now the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council - and the Leon Arkus Jump-Start Award from the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh 89th Annual Juried Exhibition at The Carnegie Museum of Art, Pennsylvania.

With much gratitude to his family and his high school teacher, where it all began, Anderson received his BFA in Photography from Ohio University and his MFA in Photography from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Anderson is available for assignments regionally, nationally, and globally.
